The picture you see here of Dante, is a picture of God’s hope, love and restoration. Abandoned by his family, Dante grew up living on the streets of Manila sleeping in parked vehicles and any place that would provide shelter. Dante was referred to Honest Hands by his local pastor who had invited him to a camp where God began a transforming

work in his life, and he decided to follow Jesus. God continued that transforming work through the discipleship and encouragement he received from the male staff at Honest Hands. Dante grew from being shy, quiet and nervous to finding his confidence and faith in God. It became obvious that he had the gift of serving. He cared for children when given the opportunity, and took initiative to accomplish things that needed to be done.

Honest Hands staff also helped him go back to school where he had to start grade three as a teenager. He persevered until he completed elementary school. Dante even served as a junior staff at Honest Hands. He was a good role model and continued to grow strong in his faith in Jesus and develop his ministry skills.

Dante now has a beautiful family and together they serve in their local church. God has a plan for Dante. A plan that took a boy with no hope and future, and restored him to live a life of hope and love.
